Description
This holiday house from the nineteenth century is situated in the village of El Golfo, footsteps from the sea. It was restored in 2000, comfortable apartments were created retaining traditional elements that existed in the house and which are typical of Canarian architecture. During the first restoration, in the 60’s, Cesar Manrique intervened as at the time he was cousin of the owners.
The apartments are very comfortable and have a bedroom with double bed, dining/kitchen area and a bathroom with shower equipped with hairdryer, magnifying mirror and amenities (gel/shampoo and body lotion dispenser) We offer room cleaning during your stay. This accommodation is for adults only, we do not allow children under 16 years of age.
The apartments face the interior of the house except the Studio which is situated by the outside entrance. The common areas are the patio and the stunning terrace are the original parts of the house. It also offers 2 watering pools, one on the terrace (freshwater) and a natural pool with fresh sea salt water and with access directly from the house.
The town of El Golfo is popular during the day, many visitors from the island come to enjoy its good cuisine and the Charco de los Clicos. It is also a few minutes from Timanfaya, Los Hervideros, Papagayo beaches...the perfect location for some relaxing days.
WELCOME: We request your arrival information in order to organize your check in. Whenever it is possible for us, we welcome our guests at the door of the house. There we complete a brief check in form, we give you a welcome pack (water, milk, packets of coffee and tea, cookies, crackers, ½ bottle of wine from Lanzarote and a cleaning kit) along with a welcome letter with personal recommendations of the island along with helpful information and telephone numbers. We are available when needed to resolve any questions you may have and we remain at your disposal 24 hours for anything you need.
The check in time is from 3:00 PM. The check out of the house is by 12:00 PM. If you want arrive before or leave later, no problem, tell us to check availability.
CLEANING: The house comes with fresh clean sheets, fresh bath towels, beach towels and tea towels. In the bathroom: hand soap, moisturizer dispenser and gel/shampoo dispenser. Additionally we leave an extra set of bath towels and sheets. This cleaning service carries a fixed charge. If you want extra cleaning service during the stay please just ask us for more information.
CAR RENTAL: I recommend you hire a rent a car before coming to Lanzarote as there is a high demand. We work with a strong company on the island, for your booked dates I can organise and book your car with special conditions, included tax fees, free cancellation, no deposit fee required, full insurance, no fuel charge, unlimited kilometres and a second driver included. If you would like me to arrange the rent a car booking, all I would need is your flight details.

I think the accommodation merits 4.5 stars due to:

La verdad que me sorprendió mucho el estado de la habitación. Todas las paredes muy rotas (el enchufe, suelo, pared de la cama, etc) y el baño es de lo peor que he visto en mucho tiempo - necesita ser reformado cuanto antes

Por otro lado, se ve que las limpiezas no están hechas como deberían, había polvo en espejo, bombillas, etc y pelos en la habitación El sitio es único pero las condiciones de la habitación (sin aire ni ventanas para ventilar correctamente) dejan mucho que desear. Una pena la verdad |

No anunciamos aire acondicionado en la habitación, pero entendemos la importancia de una buena ventilación. El apartamento cuenta con ventanas y puertas a ambos lados, lo que permite una excelente circulación de aire si se mantienen abiertas. Es una lástima que no hayas podido aprovechar esta opción.
En cuanto al estado de la habitación, sentimos mucho que no haya cumplido con tus expectativas. Hemos tomado nota de tus observaciones y ya estamos trabajando para corregir cualquier desperfecto. Respecto a la limpieza, revisaremos con nuestro equipo para garantizar que se mantengan los más altos estándares. Lamentamos que no nos lo hayas comunicado en el momento, ya que hubiéramos hecho todo lo posible por solucionarlo de inmediato. Somos conscientes de que, aunque nuestros empleados se esfuerzan por hacerlo bien, puede haber margen de error.
